HOW TO PLACE AN ORDER
To place an order call 1-888-RIKS-VET or e-mail to RIKSVET@riksvet.com. PLEASE have your order ready including quantity, part number and description. We ask that you write down the items you wish to order instead of thumbing through the catalog, or trying to order from memory. Please remember, the toll free order line is for placing order only-if you have any questions about a part, or need to check about an order already placed you need to call Customer Service at: 828-433-6506.
Orders are taken Monday-Thurs 8:30am-5pm (CLOSED FRIDAY-SUNDAY). If we are closed you may leave your order with our answering service, who can take your order, but cannot answer questions or give you any kind of information. We may have our phones on voice mail, so you can leave your message there after hours. We do prefer that you call us during our business hours instead of placing it with our answering service, so that we can give you the personal attention you need.
Or you can place your order on-line through our secured server.
After you choose the parts you want through the shopping cart, you will be asked to fill out all your information (name, address, etc.) plus you will be asked questions about your Corvette (year model, transmission type, interior color, etc.) Please be sure to fill out the form completely & include your e-mail address, and telephone number in case there is a question about your order. If you have ordered a part such as an interior item that requires a color choice, we will go by the information on your vehicle information field to determine the color.
ORDERING TIPS & SUGGESTIONS:
When you are planning your parts order, please PLAN AHEAD as much as possible. Don't wait until the last minute to order something you need. Occasionally parts may be out of stock or on a factory backorder causing a delay in processing your order. Planning ahead will help you and Rik's both keep your project on schedule.
TERMS: PAYMENT & SHIPPING:
Because of UPS's new dimensional weight program (packages are charged by the size of the box, not just the weight), we are shipping most orders by Priority Mail. We will try to determine which is the least expensive, and the most effecient way to ship for you. The extra fees that UPS is now charging for residential & remote deliveries has risen in the last few years, and we have found that Priority Mail is a cheaper, as efficient way to ship packages to our customers, However, if it is a large package, or you need it by a specific day, it may be best to ship UPS. ALL PAINT & STRIPPER MUST SHIP BY UPS.
If there is a way you prefer or do not prefer that we ship your package, please let us know when you place the order. We can ship most orders to Alaska, Hawaii & Puerto Rico by mail, as long as it is not a high-value shipment, or too heavy. We do not send COD to Puerto Rico, Hawaii, Canada or Overseas.
We can ship all orders by mail to APO and FPO addresses (add $5.00 additional handling fee).
Shipping charges will be added to the price of the parts order. We try to ship the most economical, efficient way. If you need exact shipping charges, please call or e-mail us after you place your order and receive your order confirmation via e-mail. We will need your order number.
We prefer to charge orders to credit cards, but UPS/COD shipping is available at an additional cost. COD Fee is $14.00 plus shipping. Only a money order or cashier's check can be accepted as COD payment (No Cash or Checks accepted). You MUST be home when UPS delivers and have your money order ready. If someone is usually not home during the day, please do not ask us to ship COD. You may want to do a pre-paid order instead.

ESTIMATE SHIPPING CHARGES (Inside U.S. Only)
We try to ship orders the most economical way possible, but not sacrifice service. We are shipping most small orders through the postal service using Priority Mail. We will compare Priority Mail vs UPS ground charges to see what works best. If you prefer one way or the other, please let us know.
We will charge you the appropriate shipping when your order is shipped. Shipping charges depend on the size, weight & value of the package, along with how far it has to travel. We are on the East Coast, so shipping to the Midwest & West Coast will be higher than East Coast shipping. The minimum we charge is $11.95, but if the package is large, or UPS charges extra to ship to your zip code, the shipping will be higher than the minimum. If we can ship your order by Priority Mail, the shipping may be a little less, depending on the weight & how far it has to travel. This chart below is just to get an idea of the shipping charges:

UPS Charges more for medium to large boxes, even if they do not weigh much. Shipping can vary on all parts.

Shipping insurance is also added to all shipments. Orders under $100 do not require additional insurance. Orders over $100 require a minimum of $3.00 insurance, and usually 1.00 additional per $100. This insures that if the package is lost or damaged during transit, you will receive a replacement.
Minimum shipping to most of the country is $11.95, Midwest & west coast minimum is $12.95, except for items which must be shipped by truck. If shipping charges are not included with a prepaid order, the order will be shipped freight collect. Alaska, Hawaii, Puerto Rico & foreign orders please call or add at least 20% shipping (sorry, no COD's on these shipments). If you overpay the shipping charges, you will receive credit towards your next order. UPS now charges an additional $3.00-$4.00 fee for "Remote Area Delivery". Your zip code determines if your home is considered "remote" or not. If your zip code is remote, there will be an extra fee. We will try to ship most packages by Priority Mail to save you the extra fees, if possible.
CATALOGS ARE MAILED AT NO CHARGE WITHIN THE U.S.
You will be notified if you pre-pay an order and the shipping charges you enclosed are not enough.
Master card, Visa, Discover & American Express orders will be accepted. Please give us the name on the card, card number, expiration date and security code. We can only ship to the credit card's billing address unless other arrangements have been made.
Money order or cashier's check only will be accepted on COD shipments.
Cash, money order, Master Card, Visa, Discover, American Express, cashier's check or personal check will be accepted on prepaid orders; however, allow 2 weeks for personal checks to clear.
There will be a $25 fee on any check returned from the bank unpaid.
Parts too large to ship UPS will be shipped by truck. Orders must be pre-paid. Truck shipment does not fall under the 10% shipping charge fee.
There is not really a minimum order required, however, due to the high cost of handling, there will be a small order handling charge of $2.00 for any parts order under $20.00, IN ADDITION to shipping. It can be expensive to ship small orders ($10.95-$12.95 minimum). It is best to order as much at one time as you can to help pay for the shipping! Shipping to Mid West, West Coast & remote areas require higher shipping costs.
When you receive your order, be sure to inspect the package and its contents thoroughly, even if you won't be using them on your car for some time. If there are any damages or shortages you must report them to us within 15 days of the invoice date to receive proper credit. After that period of time we cannot help you. Inspect the parts to make sure they are what you intended to order. Remember no returns accepted after 30 days!
DO NOT send damaged parts back to us! If you receive an item that is damaged or defective you must contact us at 828-433-6506 and we will file a damage claim with the shipping company (UPS, Postal Service, Trucking Company, etc.). You must hold the damaged part in the original package until it is picked up. We cannot give you credit for the item until it has been returned to us and a claim has been filed.
If see you have a part you would like to return you MUST call for a return authorization number. For authorization call 828-433 6506 and give us the part #, invoice # ,invoice date, and reason for the return. There is a 15% return fee on all parts that were sent correctly by Rik's as ordered by the customer. If it was sent incorrectly by Rik's, there is no return fee.
If you return a part for exchange or future in store credit, there is a 5% processing fee to cover our time & expenses to re-stock the parts.
However, if we do have to issue a refund to your credit card, the 15% return fee will apply. Do not send parts back to us that have not been authorized. These packages will be refused, will be sent back to you by the carrier, and no credit will be given.
Returns must be send freight prepaid, COD's will be refused.
Return requests MUST be made within 15 days of invoice date, and must be returned to Rik's within 30 days of invoice date.
No returns will be accepted AFTER 30 days of invoice! Please do not ask us to take back parts if your have sold your car after 30 days of the invoice.
NO RETURNS on special orders, used parts, or non-stocking parts.
Parts returned must be in the original condition as it was received and in the original packaging, or factory box. No return on parts that have been installed, painted or altered in any way.
Backordered Parts will be shipped as soon as stock arrives. If a part has been on backorder for over 45 days, the customer will be notified by phone or mail when the part is back in stock.
Any parts shortage must be reported to us within 15 days of invoice.
Customer will be billed all shipping charges plus a 15% restocking fee on all refused shipments or shipments returned by UPS that were undeliverable. There will be no future orders shipped until payment is received.
All orders are shipped by Priority Mail or FedEx Economy Service (for larger orders), whichever is more economical. We can ship small orders and/or orders valued less than $300.00 by the Postal Service. Payment can be made with either a major credit card or bank transfer. Credit card orders must include cardholder's name, & card billing address. A $10 handing fee will be added on all foreign orders. Be sure to give us your e-mail address or fax number when ordering.
CANADIAN AND FOREIGN ORDERS ADD $25 BANK HANDLING FEE ON ALL ORDERS PAID BY CHECK OR MONEY ORDER, OR BANK TRANSFER. There is a $10 foreign order handling fee on all shipments.
WE PREFER TO DO ALL FOREIGN CORRESPONDENCE BY E-MAIL. IF YOU REQUIRE THAT WE FAX INFORMATION TO YOU OR CALL YOU LONG DISTANCE, THERE WILL BE AN ADDITIONAL $5 PER CALL OR FAX.
(There is no extra charge for using Credit Cards) Please call for payment and shipping information for any order outside the continental U.S. (Includes Puerto Rico, Alaska, & Hawaii).
NOTE: For orders shipped to a freight forwarding company, we cannot be responsible for shortages or damages once the packages are signed for by the company. No claims can be filed after they are received.
All Parts carry a 30-90 day workmanship warranty to be free from defects from the manufacturer. Parts that carry a longer warranty are stated in the part description. Warranty on all products after installation or use are warranted according to the manufacturers terms and are NOT the responsibility of Rik's.

Rik's Corvette Parts, LLC will not be responsible for parts damage due to installation, either proper or improper, or for any damage, injury, time loss, shipping charges or labor charges arising from use of any product or products contained within this catalog or other items sold but not contained within this catalog. Rik's does not claim nor guarantee that parts sold are NCRS, Bloomington Gold or 100% Original. Most parts manufactured today are either reproduction (usually better quality than original), GM Manufactured (sometimes a GM "universal" part), manufactured for GM or a GM Restoration Part. If you MUST have Original Parts let us know when ordering-we may or may not be able to help you.

IN STORE PICKUP
You are welcome to come by our store to pick up your parts. We do ask that you call ahead to make sure we have the parts in stock that you would like to pick up, and to make sure our store is open (please see our "Business Hours" button for closing dates and store hours). Please use our catalog and have a list ready to save us both some time, and if you can, please give us the list a few days ahead of time so we can have your parts set aside.
Due to increased shipping costs, we must now charge a partial shipping fee on some large parts picked up at our store. This charge to you is only about half or less than half of our freight cost. Most parts we advertise are priced for internet sales, and these parts are normally drop shipped to our customer from the manufacturer's warehouse, therefore saving us additional shipping costs. But if the part is picked up at our store, we usually have $10-$45 more in shipping fees to us. This will still be cheaper than having the large item shipped to you from another retailer. Most of the parts we sell can be shipped to us in bulk, so we can usually cover the costs. But some parts, like those listed below, have to be shipped in separate boxes, costing us high fees on each box. We like to offer the convenience of in-store pick up to our customers, because it saves them time, gives them a chance to see the part before they buy it, and gives us a chance to meet our customers. This way, the customer still gets to pick up his part, and still saves full shipping costs.
